Budapest

Again, it took about six hours in a bus to travel from Prague to Budapest. Our lunch stop was at the capital city of Slovakia, Bratislava, a name is not at all familiar to us. It is a city on the Danube river and borders two other independent countries, Austria and Hungry. The lunch break gave us a glimpse of this city.

   a good street performer!

Budapest is a very romantic city in my mind, but I don't recall where I got that idea. There is no particular reason for that image. I have not read any book with Budapest as its background, and I do not remember a movie with Budapest as the city scene. I can only attribute my image to the song " Blue Danube", which is very romantic. We visited Victory Square, the Lizst Opera House, Castles, the old Jewish quarters, and The National Museum. And we had a moonlight cruise on the Danube, in keeping with my romantic notions about Budapest.
